The Inescapable Mess

The bad news is this: there is nowhere to run. The evil, the sin,
the despair, the mess of this world is within you.
The good news this: In a manger, around tables with sinners and
scribes, on both sides of the sea, up on that cross, and at this table –
God enters into the mess, knowing it’s a mess, and brings more than
cleanliness. In Jesus, God brings life.
So come. This table is not a table of quarantine in the midst of a
godforsaken world. This is a table of love for a people who need it.
For you. So come. Just come.
