Posted on October 8, 2019 | Posted by Mary Stoneback
Please join us Thursday October 17th for a behind-the-scenes talk on Federal Prisons by a former warden of a woman’s prison and two men’s prisons. Our guest speaker, Kuma Deboo is a retired warden and currently a consultant on prison issues. She will talk on a variety of current issues including prison safety, faith groups in prison, and her wide ranging experiences after twenty years in the system.
Kuma will be joining us from Lake George, Colorado. We will have a meet and greet at 11:30 am with lunch beginning at noon. Her talk will be from 12:30-1:30 pm. As always, the main course is provided but please bring a side dish or dessert to share. This is free and open to all interested. Please let Karen Rubinow nodak@sidkar.com or October SUP host Jim DeLoughry, jdeloughry@comcast.net know if you are coming so we can ensure enough food. Hope to see you there, and if you can only come for the talk, please do. Invite your friends!
