Shhhh…

This coming Sunday, February 11th at both services, the children will be invited to help ‘Bury the Alleluias’. What, you might ask, does this mean? Good question! As a part of the Lenten season, we will fast from saying or singing “Alleluia” until Easter. Lent is a time to practice spiritual disciplines like prayer, fasting and alsmgiving which can help us grow in our faith in Christ. Fasting from saying “alleluia” through Lent is a simple, yet powerful way for us to reverence the journey Christ took from death to resurrection. And how sweet it is to join in saying “alleluia” again on Easter morning. Until then, “shhhh….”

A special thank you to the Sunday School classes for their creative work in making this year’s “Alleluia” banners. They will be waved high and then placed in a special container until Easter Sunday.
