Quilts and a Picnic! – September 16

Join us on Sunday, September 16 for a church picnic! It’s a great chance to meet your fellow Ascension members. A great BBQ main dish will be served, and we ask folks to bring a side or dessert to share. The picnic is at 11:30.
Also on Sunday, we’re happy to present quilts to Family Promise. Quilts for New Beginnings, a joint effort of Ascension Lutheran and Beth-El Mennonite churches, produce beautiful quilts for every person who graduates from the IHN program of Family Promise. These are families who move from homelessness to their own home through hard work and the generous support of so many people of faith across the city, including Colorado Springs. We’ll hand these quilts to Family Promise on Sunday, and also do a blessing for both the Family Promise Quilts and those going out all across the world. The blessing will be during the 10:30 service.
