Let The Little Children Come To Me
Posted on May 22, 2021 | Posted by Mary Stoneback
My name is Arlayne McKee and I’m an artist. I became an artist when I was a grown-up struggling with stress and anxiety as a career software developer. God gave me the gift of art to calm me down and I’ve been creative ever since. My life’s prayer is to give thanks for His gift by using it.
I love playing with colors and textures and shapes and getting paint all over myself. When I was challenged to paint a gift for Ascension’s Children’s Learning Center’s 20th Anniversary, these words came to my mind.
“Let the little children come to me and do not stop them. For it is to such as these that the Kingdom of heaven belongs.” Matthew 19:14
I though of my own childhood and my mama who taught me that we all have a guardian angel watching over us and protecting us. So love and her words inspired this guardian angel to look out for the children in this place and to remind those who love them that we are cared for by God and so many.
I’m so grateful and blessed to have been able to create it for you!
