Join the Ascension Book & Podcast Club for two upcoming Discussions.
Faith Seeking Understanding is Ascension’s book, podcast, and occasional movie club! We discuss works of non-fiction, with some dabbling of fiction thrown in. Usually we’ll address a timely topic. We’ve read books and listened to podcasts on homelessness, racism, poverty, criminal justice, gun violence, climate change, elder care, and more. We meet most 4th Mondays, with occasional changes to the calendar. Our next discussions are …
The Anxious Generation
Our next book is “The Anxious Generation” by Jonathan Haidt. I’m not sure I’m gonna like this book, or agree with it. But I do think it will cause me to think and lead to some good discussion on parenting, our connections to technology, the power of large companies, and ‘kids-these-days’.
Join us for discussion on parts 1-3 on Monday, January 27th. We’ll then discuss part 4 on February 24th. We’ll meet over a potluck at 6:00 downstairs or via zoom.
