For Those Who Do It All Wrong (a.k.a. You)

Grace isn’t about second chances. Or maybe it is sometimes. But at
it’s heart, grace isn’t about second chances, and it certainly isn’t
about God being patient with us until we do life perfectly. Grace is a
God who knows we’ll never get it right, but loves us too much to leave
us in our desperation.
And when we receive that grace, it’s like we finally have the faith
to trust God the way we always wanted. It’s like we finally have the
courage to be compassionate, the way we know we should be. It’s like we
finally have the peace to be peacemakers. It’s like we finally have the
perspective to be grateful. It’s like we finally see that we are loved,
so that we might love. Grace comes first. And then the rest.
