Faster Pastors Running for Refugees!

Help Pastors Dan and Daniel raise funds for Refugees!
This year two teams of Faster Pastors are each running the 165 mile “Flaming Foliage” relay race. The race goes from Idaho Springs to Buena Vista, over three mountain passes. Whew!
But the pastors have it easy. Refugees from all over the world are arriving in Colorado after a much more strenuous journey that takes them thousands of miles and many years. They travel through war zones, refugee camps, and bureaucracy beyond imagination. Once here, Lutheran Family Services helps get them settled in their new home. Our goal is to raise $1650 – $10 for every mile run by our Faster Pastor team. All of this money will go to support Lutheran Family Services in their ministry for refugees.
You can donate in two ways:
- Write a check to “Ascension Lutheran” and put “Faster Pastors” in the memo line. Drop the check off in the offering plate on Sunday.
