Faith Seeking Understanding
Posted on July 26, 2017 | Posted by Pastor Daniel
Last spring we started “Faith Seeking Understanding” – a book club that starts from our place of faith and wrestles with challenging issues or realities in our world. We had two great discussions on books related to race in America.
This August, we’re going to read together “A Mother’s Reckoning” by Sue Klebold. Sue’s son, Dylan, was one of perpetrators of the Columbine massacre in 1999. The book details her struggle to understand how her son came to this place. Few books embody “seeking understanding” like this one.
The discussion and potluck dinner will be from on Monday, August 28 from 5:30-7:00pm in the basement. All are welcome, so invite a friend to join you. Ask Pastor Daniel for more details.
The book is available on Amazon, at the Pikes Peak Library, and at local bookstores.
