Pastor Daniel’s Sermon on the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3).
Folks, this faith isn’t going to make you rich. In fact, it might make you poorer. This faith isn’t going to make you popular. In fact, it might call on you to befriend the unpopular. This faith isn’t easy. It’s hard. But like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Like the oppressed Jews who first heard this story and were emboldened to persevere. Like Stephen and Luther and King. Like Mother Pollard. Like the many faithful of our own lives, we have this faith that God has already called us and given us true life. And we know that’s not something to give up. And we know that holding onto that true life just might be what this not OK world needs.
