Compassion and Empathy: Podcast Discussions
Posted on June 1, 2020 | Posted by Pastor Daniel
Compassion and empathy are challenging topics to dive into, but we’ve found two great interviews to get us there. Talking about compassion and empathy is challenging, but we’ve found a way to do that too!
Join Pastor Daniel for two discussions on compassion and empathy using two great podcasts as fodder.
On June 7 we’ll discuss Nadia Bolz-Weber’s interview with Megan Phelps-Roper, a former member of Westboro Baptist Church. Phelps-Roper left the church after experiencing compassion from those she had always judged. The podcast is really short, and you can find it by searching for “The Confessional” on your podcast app, or just click here:

The discussion will happen at 10:30 on June 7. Click here to join:

On June 14 we’ll discuss Brene Brown’s interview with Tarana Burke, the founder of the MeToo movement. This wide-ranging (and longer) interview touches on a lot of topics, but I really like some of the talk about empathy. You can find the podcast by searching for “Unlocking Us” or click here:
