Born into Faith

Pastor Daniel’s sermon for January 28, 2018 on John 3:1-17
It’s hard accepting that God brings faith to us. Hard accepting the falling-in-love-nature of faith. Hard to think of it as a birth.
Which is why I keep coming back to the bowl of water back there. Not to be born again, and again and again each time, but to remember, to be reminded that there was a time I was born of water and spirit, that there is a new life God has already begun in me. I keep trying to make my own new life, keep trying to make my own way. But as I dip my fingers in the water I’m reminded that new life has already been given to me. And to you. All that’s left is to live it. Amen.
