Blessing of the Backpacks

While it might look a little different this year, kids will be going back to school (in person and online) soon and are still in need of our help. As we are not in church on a regular basis at this time, donations may be dropped off to the church Monday- Friday, 9am-12pm and may also be dropped off directly to Director Teresa Adams at the Ascension’s Children’s Learning Center after 2 pm.

Supplies that the children are required to have include, but are not limited to:  backpacks, lunchboxes, facial tissues, round-tip and pointed-tip scissors, pencil boxes, 24 ct. Crayon boxes, and  12 ct. colored pencil boxes.  School is set to begin August 24^th. We will accept donations through August 21^st. In this time of unknowns and every changing decisions, monetary donations are also acceptable. Please make checks out to Ascension Lutheran Church and memo: Blessing of the Backpacks.

There will also be a special blessing for the children, youth and all those going back to school, including the teachers and administrators on Sunday August 23rd. More details to come. Thank you for your support!
