Blessing of the Backpack

We are collecting school supplies this year to support District 11. School starts early this year so please bring to church by Sunday August 4. Unemployment rates are high, more families are struggling to make ends meet. The blessing of the backpack donation drive is in its sixth year running and is an amazing opportunity to bless families and children in our community. As a part of this effort, all are welcome to a blessing to mark the beginning of the school year on Sunday August 11 at both the 8 am and 10:30 am service. The children at Ascension’s Children Learning Center will also receive a special blessing as they go back to school on August 12.
Here’s a list of supplies needed with emphasis on backpacks and lunch boxes. Thank you for your faithful support!
