Blessing of the Backpack 2017

Attention all students and teachers! This coming Sunday, August 6 at both the 8 am and 10:30 am service, there will be a Blessing of the Backpacks. The members of the Board of Parish Education invite all children, youth, young adults and teachers to attend worship together and receive a special blessing and key chain as we commit in prayer to God the upcoming school year. All are welcome!
School Supply Drive: It’s not too late to contribute to the school supply drive. Information and supply lists can be found near the entryway, on the Blessing of the Backpack table. These donations will go to help children of Ascension and the Children’s Learning Center.
*Children and teachers of the Children’s Learning Center, located in the south-side of the church building, will also receive a special blessing of the backpacks on Wednesday August 9, 10:30 am.
