“Ask A Pastor” Sermon Series

Beginning July 31st, Pastors Dan and Daniel will preach a series of sermons based on questions or subjects raised by Ascension members.  So now’s your chance finally hear a sermon on that topic you wish we’d talk about!

Tips:

• Don’t ask something Google can easily answer, like a fact. Instead, ask about something that you’ve always struggled with.  Rather than asking “Who wrote the Psalms?” try asking “What do you make of these Psalms that are so violent?”
• You may, but don’t have to pick a piece of scripture, or even know if your subject is related to scripture. You don’t have to ask “How does Genesis 1 inform our understanding of stewardship?”  You can just ask “Does our faith have anything to say about caring for the world?”
• You don’t have to have a specific question. You can have a topic or subject that you’d like to hear about.  Try something like “I’m curious about faith and refugees” or “I’ve been thinking about balancing work and parenting.”
