Growing Community

Paul wrote that through grace, God’s people “will always have more than enough to do all kinds of good things for others.” (2 Cor 8:9 CEV) Through God’s grace, we have done all kinds of good things like Faith and Art Camp (pictured above), KPC Respite Center rebuild and so much more. In our Growing Community stewardship campaign, we are asking you to continue to support the good things we are doing and consider increasing your giving for our growing community and ministry support.
· Growing community: We have an opportunity and calling not only to grow our church community but to extend beyond it to our local neighborhood and the wider community.
· Ministry Support: We rely on our excellent lay and ministerial staffs to conceive, develop, organize, and manage community outreach programs. With humility and grace, we pray that the pattern of generosity from our Ascension family continues growing to best incentivize our high achieving staff in their good work.
Added 2023 Giving Goals:
$2,500 Targeted community newsletter mailings (more if money allows)
$10,000 Support for staff salaries
$12,500 Total
First, consider what you currently give to Ascension. To meet our goal we need a good portion of you to increase your giving. For example, someone might move from $25 per week to $35 per week.
Second, reflect on these faith questions:
- Am I adequately responding in gratitude for God’s blessing and grace in my life?
- How much more could I give to help God’s work through my church family?
Third, prayerfully decide what God would have you give in support of your church community and its mission. Then fill out the enclosed Estimated Giving Card and send it to the church in the envelope provided. You can also complete an online version.
